Resources
There are tons of resources for bassoon players out there! Below you will find some useful information, websites, etc.
MUSIC
When I was starting on bassoon, I found it really difficult to find sheet music. Thankfully, my lesson teacher pointed me in the direction of TrevCo Music. Their website states they are "The world's foremost purveyor of sheet music for double reeds." It's true!
REED TOOLS
When you start to make your own reeds, you'll find yourself on a hunt for the many tools you need. There are many sites that sell reed tools. Some of my favorites are Charles Double Reeds and Forrests. Prices are constantly changing, so be sure to do some price comparison. Also, there are some things you don't need to get from a double reed specialty site! They will charge more for things you can get at a hardware store (ex. pliers, files, sand paper, "end-nippers"). Be a smart shopper! Reed tools are expensive, so it's good to save money where you can.
REED MAKING EVALUATION SHEETS
I have created evaluation sheets to help with the ease of keeping track of your reeds! There is one for cane and forming, and one for reed adjustments. Feel free to download and print these PDFs! (Journals for sale to come!)

FINGERING CHARTS
There is a fingering chart that comes in the Weissenborn Practical Method for Bassoon, but it can be complicated. Many times while practicing, you may need to look up fingerings. There are many fingering charts on the internet. My two favorite sites for fingering charts are VCU's for "regular" fingerings, and The Woodwind Fingering Guide for trills.
